The Women Voice Against GBV is a national non-profit women‟s rights organisation in Kenya founded in the year 2018 as a response to amplify women voices in addressing all forms of Violence Against all gender but more so, against Women and Girls (VAWG). WVA-GBV is committed to advancing women‟s rights and work towards achieving a society free from all forms of VAWG. The origin of WVA-GBV is traced to a workshop organized by Centre for Rights Education and Awareness (CREAW), to sensitizen women leaders on a community involvement in fight against GBV - SASA tool - , which identified the need to have grassroots women addressing GBV and limited capacity of the women in key leadership positions, to speak out.
